Precautions for a Safe Worship Environment at New Hope
New Hope provides a spacious, well ventilated environment for worship, with ample opportunity to maintain social distancing. Just to highlight additional steps we have taken during concerns about the spread of any and all contagions in this unique time:
  • We ask that anyone with a persistent cough, fever, or high risk factors continue to worship with us from home.
  • We have placed signage throughout to communicate current precautions.
  • All doors are propped open during building occupancy for ‘no-touch’ entry.
  • Greeters will maintain safe distance, and attendees are encouraged to do the same. No handshakes or hugs.
  • There will not be printed bulletins. Announcements are on our monitor screens.
  • Free masks will be made available at the entryways (non-mandatory).
  • Hand sanitizer and tissues are readily available throughout the building.
  • We have removed every other row of chairs for safe distancing. Those worshiping as families have the option to sit together, while sections are also provided with additional spacing. We trust the discretion of those present to sit as appropriate.
  • Overflow seating is available in our Streetview CafĂ© with only 4 chairs at each table. There are monitors in that area for viewing.
  • Coffee is available, with tissues and wipes handy for ‘no-touch’ distribution. No snacks will be available during the first phase of reopening.
  • We will distribute prepackaged, sealed Communion sets for Pentecost Sunday. These can be picked up at the door on the way in.
  • No offering plates will be passed. Tithes and offerings may be dropped into stationary plates on the way in or out. An online giving option is available through our website.
  • There will be no in-house children’s ministries in the initial phase of reopening. The Cry Room and children’s table will still be available at parental discretion. Extra precautions and limits are in place.
  • The building is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between usage.
